Millrose Center provide safe, caring, and enriching environments for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These services are provided during normal business hours, providing peace-of-mind to caregivers who work or need additional daytime assistance.

Yes, our staff administer medication with RN delegation / Medication and Administration Training Record. Please note that we cannot deviate from specific directions given by the client’s physician.

No. Millrose Center can accommodate clients who need to use adult diapers, those who require bathroom assistance and those who can use a bathroom independently.

Yes. Your loved ones are welcomed to come in anytime during operation hours.

No. We are currently accepting applications.

All Millrose Center staff members must have at least two years of experience working individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities to be considered for employment.  We also provide 30 hours of training and require that all staff pass a written exam with a minimum score of 75%. Additionally, all staff is required to complete comprehensive training in the following areas:

  • Abuse, Neglect, Client Rights and Confidentiality
  • Conflict of Interest and Sexual Harassment
  • Seizures and Seizure Disorders
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Infection Control
  • HIPPA
  • First Aid and CPR

Parents and guardians are welcome to visit at any time, without an appointment.

Yes.  We can accommodate students who speak various languages.

Your loved ones safety is our top priority. We conduct thorough pre-employment background checks on all applicants in accordance with Health and Human Services and the Texas Department of Public Safety.  We also conduct random drug screenings on all employees.

If your loved one is in a state-funded program such as HCS or Texas Home Living, these programs will be billed directly.
We also allow private pay at Millrose Center.

Millrose Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  We are closed:  Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving (and the following day), Christmas holiday and New Years day.  During inclement weather, Millrose Center follows any schedule modifications adopted by the Garland Independent School District.

Millrose Center does not provide transportation.  However , DART public transportation system is able to drop off your loved one.
